Jamoi means “Hope”. Prospectively, Jamoi Foundation gives hope to local youths by creating  an opportunity to pursue a quality education internationally that would allow them to follow their passions, contribute to their communities and bring about positive changes to Myanmar. In addition, the organization has provided hope to young educators as well to become skillful human resource managers who are able to bring about a systematic change in the community. The project is a part of solutions to tackle Myanmar’s immediate humanitarian crisis, and the chronic political, social, and economic miseries that have plagued the country for decades. Jamoi foundation is the only one that starts the current kind of project in Mon State. With the purpose of promoting local participation, the project will be implemented in the rural area, in a small village on the Bilu Island, Mon State. The people who carry out the project are well educated and received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from international colleges abroad. Jamoi’s school currently operates in the compound of a Buddhist monastery. In 2019, the school was inaugurated with 8 students who had finished 10th grade who are currently working for their communities and applying for universities after the program.
